Painting
I have grown up listening to various mythological stories and visiting different temples. I have always noticed that many of these temples are having partially or fully naked sculptures. We worship Goddesses despite of what she is wearing. It shows that our culture and mythology teaches us to respect a woman in every terms and condition, for all the power she possess and for her contributions to this world.

Goddess "Kali" who generally use to be in naked form, we worship her as we believe she is the ultimate source of positive energy and she is the destroyer of evils. What she is wearing or how she is looking, never makes any difference in our love and respect for her.
But when it comes to all women around us, we use to judge and disrespect them. We also even try to defend every crime towards them by the length of their clothes.
As a society and humans we are unable to provide the unconditional respect and love to the lively women which we easily give to a lifeless Idol.
This hypocrisy of society always disappointed me. And that's why I have drawn this picture to show that respect and love for a woman is beyond her clothing. I also sketched a chala (décor structure which is usually put behind idols of God) behind her to address the social dysfunctionality that is -
"A woman has to be a Devi first to get the respect she deserves"
