Concept Illustration
This was my entry in a competition organized by GAP & Wacom called "Design The Future".
This shot is taken from inside a room that has a wide eye-shaped window through which a robot is making reference of the world and painting his imagination of the past world. The view outside is of Kolkata in the far future when humans are the first species of the earth to avail interstellar journey through the universe. The big spherical object in the sky is not the moon but a nearby white dwarf star during our interstellar journey using the theoretical Caplan Thruster, an impossible invention till now [you can find related research papers on the internet]. Several small planets and stars are visible in the sky.

The canvas depicts a riverside with a small herd of elephants and a small hut with lots and lots of greenery which we will miss dearly in the future.
Initial Draft
I have spent sleepless nights and experienced the frustration of creative block. I have read and researched a lot about the future of humankind, including the stellar engines and the physics behind them. I am really looking forward to space travel for commoners.
